I just bought the new Men’s Health summer training guide and it had an article about the 6 best thing readers did to lose weight. I liked it, so I thought I would share these tips with you.
1 cut out refined grains and sugar.
These products include white bread, cookies, lollies and chip. You want to get rid of these food because they are nutritional empty food. There is nothing in these foods that the body actually needs. In fact the only thing that is in these foods is fast-absorbing carbs which will stop any fat-burning right in his tracks.
2 Eat protein good fats and fibre.
Eating plenty of fruit vegetables and lean protein is going to keep you full and satisfied for longer and will slow down the absorption of carbs. In other words you can eat less and get more energy.
Plus the fastest way to get rid of fat in your body is still the porcelain seat.
3 Eat breakfast every day.
I have heard experts say that we should eat our meals backwards.
We tend to eat our biggest meal at night before we lie down and many of us eat our smallest meal in the beginning of the day. You don’t have to be a nutritionist to figure out that this doesn’t make much sense. So from now on…munch out on breakfast and enjoy your carbs in the morning. This will keep you going when you need it. Make your diner smaller and low in carbs and the fat will melt away like ice-cream in summer.
4 Lift weights at least 3 times a week.
According to the survey about 90% of the people did some sort of resistance exercise 3 or more times a week. Weight-training not only burns calories in the gym, it can also boost your metabolism for 2 days afterwards
5 Do cardio workouts
Cardio-training is a great way to get the whole body moving it will make you feel fitter and will boost your energy levels. Study has shown that the best form of cardio is interval training. Try this interval next time you are on a bike. Pedal relaxed for 12 seconds then sprint for 8 seconds. Only 3 minutes of this and you will feel like you just climbed Everest.
6 Stay motivated
Ask friends to join you in your workouts, get your family on the healthy nutrition wagon and share your success . The more people you get involved the lesser the change of giving up.
